Our three-stage admission process
Admissions Form
Registration forms must be submitted by 1st February for the September intake and by 1st November for the January intake. To begin the admissions process, please complete the online Admissions Form using the button below. We also request a copy of the applicant’s most recent school performance report before progressing to the next stage of the admissions process.
Entrance Test
All applicants are required to sit an entrance assessment as part of the admissions process. A non-refundable registration fee of £50.00 is payable for students invited to attend the assessment. Payment must be made before or on the day of the test.
The assessment is designed to evaluate a child’s academic ability and aptitude and will consist of a computer-based ability test, together with written assessments to determine reading and spelling age. Calculators are not required.
The assessments will take place over the course of the morning, with scheduled breaks provided to ensure pupils remain comfortable and focused throughout the process.
Interview
Applicants who successfully meet the required standard in the entrance assessment will be invited, together with their parents or guardians, to attend a formal interview with the Head Teacher. As part of the admissions process, the school will also request a confidential reference and report from the applicant’s current or previous school.
The interview provides an opportunity for the school to gain a fuller understanding of the child’s academic potential, character, and suitability for the school environment.
Offers of a place are made at the discretion of the Headteacher and are subject to the applicant successfully meeting all admissions requirements. As the school maintains small class sizes to support high standards of teaching and learning, admission is competitive and based on overall performance throughout the assessment and interview process.
